Sweet Potato Idiyappam
This sweet potato idiyappam is very delicious and simple to make. It is also easy to digest for everyone. when I was thinking of how to include sweet potato 🍠 in kids' meals, i found that this was an easy way to do so.😊
Ingredients:
- Roasted rice flour - 1 cup
- Boiled and mashed sweet potato - 1 or 2
- Turmeric powder - a pinch (optional)
- Salt - as required
- Water - 5 tbsp or less
Prep Steps
- Mix mashed or pasty sweet potatoes and rice flour with salt and turmeric powder
- Add water gently and slowly and prepare like a normal idiyappam dough
- Take an iddiyappam maker and put the small portion of the dough and press into the desired shapes (I use an idli mould)
- Steam for 10 minutes, take out, then tranfer into a plate or casserole
- Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the dough
- Enjoy with your favorite curry or chutney!
