🍠 Sweet Potato Idiyappam 🍠

 

                                Sweet Potato Idiyappam

This sweet potato idiyappam is very delicious and simple to make. It is also easy to digest for everyone. when I was thinking of how to include sweet potato 🍠 in kids' meals, i found that this was an easy way to do so.😊

Ingredients:

  • Roasted rice flour - 1 cup
  • Boiled and mashed sweet potato - 1 or 2
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch (optional)
  • Salt - as required
  • Water - 5 tbsp or less
Prep Steps
  1. Mix mashed or pasty sweet potatoes and rice flour with salt and turmeric powder
  2. Add water gently and slowly and prepare like a normal idiyappam dough
  3. Take an iddiyappam maker and put the small portion of the dough and press into the desired shapes (I use an idli mould) 
  4. Steam for 10 minutes, take out, then tranfer into a plate or casserole
  5. Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the dough
  6. Enjoy with your favorite curry or chutney!
