Noolputtu (Idiyappam/noolappam)

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients: 

  • Roasted rice flour - 1 cup
  • Water - 1½
  • Salt
  • oil - 1 teaspoon
Preparation:

  1. Boil water in a pot along with salt and oil.
  2. Then lower the flame and slowly add rice flour.
  3. Then mix with a wooden spatula.
  4. Close the pot lid and remove it from the stove top and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  5. Then open the pot and continue mixing.
  6. When the mix is still warm but not too hot to handle, grease your hand and knead to a soft dough.
  7. Take the idiyappam maker and put the small portion of the dough and press it into the desired shapes ( or if you are using idly steamer the shape of idly).
  8. Steam for 8 minutes, take it out, and transfer into a casserole.
  9. Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the dough.
        The tasty and soft idiyappam is ready to eat and enjoy!!!!!!!
