                                (Ariyundaaa)


     Rice ladoo is a kerala traditional evening snack. Sometimes when I came back from school my mom would make this for me as a delicious snack. I hope you enjoy this treat as well! 

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Kerala boiled rice (Matta rice) -1 cup
  • Grated coconut-  1/2 cup
  • Grated jaggery- 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder- 1/4 spoon
   Steps:  

  1. Heat a kadai (steel pan) Dry roast washed-boiled rice until it pops up and turns a golden-brown color.
    2. After it cools off, put the roasted rice into the blender and grind the rice. Transfer it into a large bowl.

    3. Put the jaggery powder along with the grated coconut into the blender and then grind them properly.

    4. Then add the cardamom powder into the grinded rice. Now add the coconut-jaggery mix into this. Mix well.  

    5. After you mix it properly shape this mixture into little balls using your hands.

Now it is time to enjoy!!!
